Buy now, use later: how long a sale eSIM can wait
A Black Friday eSIM for a spring trip only works if the provider lets it wait that long. Plans start counting days when they first connect abroad, but an unused eSIM doesn’t wait forever.

Black Friday eSIM traps to avoid
- New-customer-only codes. Airalo says most of its promo codes only work if you haven’t bought an eSIM before, so returning customers get turned away at checkout.
- Stacking. Airalo allows one discount method per order, aloSIM codes can’t be used with aloCASH, and Saily credits can’t be combined with codes.
- Buying too early. Check the table above: a Nomad eSIM bought on Black Friday starts by itself in late January.
- Losing the refund. Nomad and Saily refund in full within 30 days only if you haven’t installed the eSIM, so install it close to your trip.
- A discount on the wrong plan. A sale price from one provider can still cost more than another provider’s normal price. Compare below before you pay.

Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. Last year Holafly’s sale ran from 24 November to 2 December and aloSIM’s until 1 December, so eSIM sales often start a few days early and run past Cyber Monday.
Yes, with Holafly (its 2025 sale eSIMs could wait up to a year) or Saily (180 days). Jetpac gives 3 months and Nomad starts an unused plan by itself after 60 days, so those only suit trips in the next few weeks.
Usually not. Airalo applies one discount method per order, aloSIM codes can’t be used with aloCASH, and Saily credits can’t be combined with codes. Compare the two savings on your order and use the bigger one.
We re-check every offer on the provider’s own site at least weekly, and daily from 20 November to Cyber Monday. Each offer card shows the date we last checked it, and discount codes appear in the deal boxes only after we verify them at checkout.
